Lori & Patrick: Married on June 14, 2008!

She's a Health Inspector.

He's an Engineer.

She worked in Brandon and so did he.

He had a house party and Jaqueline brought her over to his house.

They played Twister.

She liked his moves and the rest is history...

Patrick loves cycling, in fact he's been to Europe with his friends, cycling from place to place, and even cycled parts of the Tour de France.

We met early in the morning at Assiniboine Park for some cycling shots.

It's not everyday that boys want to be photographed in Spandex, so I couldn't say no...

Here's Brady, Patrick and Al:

Al's dad lent them his Beautiful Vintage Chrysler

I love the way she looks at him... She's in love!

Here are the girls: Jessica, Lori and Dana.

Best boys and pretty girl: Matt, Al & Lori. I think in this shot Matt said something like: "hey, you're not married yet!"

After the ceremony the skies opened up and we were able to do a lot of stuff outside!

For their favours, Lori & Patrick handed out personal coffee packs from Green Bean. Mmmm... The coffee is amazing, I tried! And it's organic! What a great idea for favours!

Here's Lori's Grandma. She's almost Ninety and she looks incredible! In this shot she was telling me how she is a Great Grandmother to 14 or 15 kids! Isn't that amazing!

Ok, seriously, these boys were in farm country, but they pulled all the stops when it came to doing the charades to get the bride and groom to kiss!

Here's Danielle, I have no idea what she's doing!

The speeches were funny...

And emotional...

We got out right after dinner for some sunset shots...

Lori dancing with her dad.

Here's my friend Stephanie who helped me out! She's nuts!!!

Lisa & Kensley: ENGAGED!

She's Gorgeous, Charming, Funny!

He's Tall, Dark and Handsome!

She's absolutely fun to hang out with...

He's laid back and up for anything...

She's planning the wedding!

He planned the social!

We met over the phone!

I love it when that happens. Someone is referred to me by a friend, then they check out my website, my blog and call me up and by a twist of fate - their wedding is on a date that I had booked off for holidays, but the plans changed and I'm suddenly open...

We clicked and here we are!

I just loved meeting you, Lisa and Kensley and I can't wait to do your wedding, with your huge fun family and wonderful (crazy) personalities.

Here's a little taste of your engagement session, and stay tuned for the slideshow next week!

You know it's going to be fun when she's wearing RED SHOES!

Yes, did I mention that He's a personal trainer?

Miss Personality Plus!

Can't wait till August 16th!

Marlene Day

Yesterday was Marlene Day.

What is that? You may ask...

I met Marlene years ago when I joined the Professional Photographers of Canada - Manitoba and we were both in the board of directors.

We became friends and once in a while we have these informal "training" sessions where she teaches me things and I try to keep up with her. Usually we do these at my house and I cook for her (I love cooking!), but yesterday she cooked for me! Treat!!!

Here's some images.

Here's the yummy yummy Orzo with chicken!!!

Here's proof that Marlene is a great cook!

Here's me relaxing by the fire after a hard day of training!!!

Whew! Thank you Marlene! Your work is amazing, your ideas inspiring and your personality such a JOY to be around!

Not to mention the food!!!!

Recipe please!

Talking Portuguese, Watching for Storms and Trespassing

I guess that's what I like to do on a Sunday evening...

Actually, I didn't trespass, though Sandra really really wanted to. She did crawl under the fence wearing this cute little dress, the same dress she was wearing when Elliot proposed to her.

But he talked her out of it.

You can tell already that they're good for each other.

He's a handsome, TALL man, and she's a gorgeous little Portuguese girl, that makes up in the height with a HUGE personality.

She's a drama queen. Literally: a drama teacher (and a jazz singer) that CANNOT pose for pictures. Which is just my kind of client: Natural and Fun!

I'm lucky that this is the kind of couple that gets drawn to me somehow...

Did I mention I love my job?

Here's some of my favorite shots from last night.

A smile that just lights up the room...

Love, love, love...

Here's that personality...

Here's her man!

I told her I would use this one... Rule #1: If you make a goofy face, it'll find its way to the blog, guarranteed!

I just love this gate.

And this is as posed as we could get...

Love this feeling here...

I just love how spontaneous these two are together.

I'm looking forward to your wedding guys. Thank you for sharing this time with me!

Ashley & Mike: ENGAGED!

When Ashley and Mike asked me to be the one to capture their wedding story I was thrilled! I mean, I'm always thrilled to capture a good story, but it's so cool when I get to do more than one wedding in the same family!

I did Ashley's brothers wedding years ago when I was first starting out, and now here we are, getting ready for this AWESOME wedding in September! Why awesome? Well, they're really awesome people: Ashley is an amazing singer, takes great pictures (and much much more), and Mike is one of the greatest drummers you'll ever hear... They're both very involved in our church and most importantly, they'll be serving CREPES for supper during the reception.

Woo-hoo! All kinds of crepes! I can't wait!

Thanks again guys. Enjoy your engagement pictures. Watch the slideshow in the end!

Doonrbos Family Slideshow!

I'm back from Alberta and catching up like crazy! It's amazing, but you go away to do work and when you get home you have three times the work just waiting for you...

Anywho, here's Tracy, Ken and Trinity's Slideshow from the session we did two weeks ago!

Please leave me a comment with your thoughts!
